JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur will soon see the construction of a bypass similar to Ranchi’s, according to Health and Food Supplies Minister Banna Gupta.
Minister Banna Gupta revealed that Jamshedpur faces significant traffic issues due to the absence of a bypass.
However, this issue will be addressed soon, as the Public Works Department Secretary Sunil Kumar is working on the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the bypass.
He shared this information during an event held on Friday at Dimna Road to mark the land worship ceremony for the first pillar of the Mango-Sakchi flyover.
He mentioned that several pillars of the flyover would be constructed within a month.
The entire flyover project is expected to be completed within the stipulated 1.5-year timeframe.
This flyover, costing ₹252 crores, is part of a larger ₹461 crore project aimed at relieving Mango from its severe traffic congestion.
Gupta urged the construction agency to ensure timely completion of the project.
Meanwhile, Gupta criticized those opposing the flyover, stating that they tried to deny the public of Mango the benefits of this project by ridiculing the construction efforts through letters and press conferences.
Despite the opposition, the project is progressing as planned.
He also took a jab at the opposition leaders, questioning why previous governments, which included three chief ministers from the same party, did nothing to improve the MGMMCH or address the city’s traffic woes.
The event, which took place in front of pillar number 30 near Darbhanga Dairy on Dimna Road, was attended by several dignitaries, including PWD Executive Engineer Deepak Sahay, Tata Steel Land Department’s Amit Singh, and Mango Municipal Corporation’s Deputy Administrator Ranjit Lohra.
