Kadma Residents Demand Relocation of Vegetable Market

BH Area locals submit memorandum to officials, citing disruptions during festivals

Residents of Tata Steel Company quarters in Kadma BH Area are seeking relocation of a vegetable market causing daily challenges.

JAMSHEDPUR – Residents of Tata Steel Company quarters in Kadma BH Area have submitted a memorandum to local officials requesting action on a disruptive vegetable market.

The vegetable market, established during the Covid-19 pandemic, operates at the Ganesh Puja Maidan.

While generally causing minimal disruption, the situation exacerbates during festivals like Ganesh Puja and Chhath.

During these times, the market often relocates to Inner Circle Road, creating noise and congestion near residential quarters.

Residents report difficulties navigating the area with two-wheelers, especially during emergencies or special occasions.

The market’s presence poses particular challenges during festival periods, prompting residents to seek its relocation.

A delegation of locals submitted a memorandum to the East Singhbhum District Deputy Commissioner and SDO on August 27.

Despite the formal request, no action has been taken by the authorities as of yet.

The memorandum was signed by several residents, including Nikhil Kumar, Suraj Mahato, and LN Singh, among others.

Residents are hoping for a swift resolution to improve their living conditions, especially during festive seasons.
