District Election Officer Ananya Mittal announced the revised voter list during a press conference at the Collectorate Auditorium.

The Second Summary Voter List Revision Program (SSR-2024) led to the removal of 20,748 voters due to various reasons.

Jamshedpur West constituency tops the list with 3,78,166 voters, while Baharagora has the least with 2,38,049.

Mittal stated, "The revision process remains open for eligible citizens to add their names to the voter list, ensuring maximum participation in the upcoming elections."

The updated list showcases a near-equal gender ratio, with 999 women for every 1,000 men in the district.

Notably, 15,825 disabled voters from various categories are included, highlighting the district’s commitment to inclusive representation.

Voters can verify their registration status online or inspect the list at polling stations, AERO and ERO offices, and the District Election Office.

During the event, Mittal distributed identity cards to Booth Level Officers (BLOs) as per State Election Commission directives.

"This updated voter list is a crucial step towards ensuring a transparent and fair electoral process," remarked a local political analyst, emphasizing its significance.

The district administration urges all eligible voters to check their status and actively participate in the democratic process.

With the elections approaching, this comprehensive voter list sets the stage for an inclusive and well-organized electoral exercise in East Singhbhum.
