JAMSHEDPUR – Kowali Police have filed an FIR against 11 individuals, including a minor, following a banned meat seizure on August 24 in the Palidih area.
The police operation led to the interception of two vehicles in the Kowali police station jurisdiction.
During questioning, the apprehended minor revealed that the banned meat was being transported from Haldipokhar to Odisha.
The FIR names several individuals alongside the minor, including Gabbar, Ismail, and Yasin alias Kudrat.
Other accused named are Lallu, Mokadar, Shamsher Ali, Ahmed Ali, and Sheikh Imran alias Kada.
All the accused individuals are reportedly residents of Haldipokhar.
Following the arrest, the minor has been sent to judicial custody.
The police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
This seizure has raised significant concerns about the prevalence of illegal meat trafficking in the region.
