Jamshedpur Launches Pulse Polio Drive to Reach 3,95,368 Children

Three-day campaign from August 25-27 aims for 100% coverage

Jamshedpur district administration prepares for an extensive Pulse Polio campaign targeting children aged 0-5 years.

JAMSHEDPUR – The district administration is set to launch a comprehensive Pulse Polio campaign from August 25th to 27th, aiming to vaccinate 3,95,368 children aged 0-5 years.

Deputy Development Commissioner held a preparatory meeting with various stakeholders to ensure the campaign’s success.

The campaign will deploy 6132 trained vaccinators across 3066 booths on August 25th.

308 supervisors have been appointed to oversee the vaccination process.

District Magistrate Ananya Mittal has instructed comprehensive guidelines for the campaign.

The Deputy Development Commissioner emphasized the importance of inter-departmental coordination.

"We must ensure that no child is deprived of taking polio drops," stated the Deputy Development Commissioner.

Senior officials from all blocks are directed to maintain constant coordination with Medical Officers In-Charge.

The campaign involves collaborative efforts from Health, Women and Child Development, Education, and other departments.

NGOs, Municipal Corporation, and Panchayati Raj institutions will play vital roles in the campaign.

Extensive training has been provided to all vaccinators and supervisors.

The administration aims for 100% coverage through mutual coordination and a well-structured action plan.
