Expired Fire Extinguishers Found at Aam Bagan Diwali Stalls

Key Points:

  • Cracker shops set up at Aam Bagan under district administration order
  • Fire officials find expired extinguishers during inspection
  • Vendors warned of penalties for safety violations

JAMSHEDPUR – Ahead of Diwali, cracker shops have been set up at Aam Bagan under the direction of the Jamshedpur district administration. However, several vendors have failed to meet basic safety norms.

During an inspection by the Fire Department, officials found that many fire extinguishers kept at the stalls were past their expiry dates. They were reportedly placed only for formality and not for actual safety use.

Officials immediately warned the shopkeepers to replace expired extinguishers without delay. “If they fail to comply, strict punitive action will follow,” a fire department source said.

Meanwhile, authorities continue monitoring the site to ensure adherence to safety protocols as festive sales increase.
