South Eastern Railway announces October schedules for festive season travel

Special trains will operate between Gondia and Santragachi to accommodate Durga Puja travelers in October 2024.

JAMSHEDPUR – South Eastern Railway has announced special train services connecting Gondia and Santragachi for the upcoming Durga Puja festival in October 2024.

The 08893 Gondia-Santragachi Special is scheduled to depart from Gondia on two dates: October 4 and October 9, 2024.

This train will leave Gondia at 11:20 AM and reach its destination, Santragachi, at 5:20 AM the following day.

For the return journey, the 08894 Santragachi-Gondia Special will commence its trip from Santragachi on October 5 and October 10, 2024.

The departure time from Santragachi is set for 7:30 AM, with the train arriving in Gondia at 1:15 AM the next day.

Passengers traveling within the South Eastern Railway jurisdiction will benefit from stops at key stations.

These halts include Kharagpur, Tatanagar, Chakradharpur, Rourkela, and Jharsuguda.

The introduction of these special trains aims to facilitate convenient travel options for people celebrating Durga Puja.

Railway authorities expect these services to ease the festive rush and provide comfortable journeys for passengers.
