SERAIKELA – Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren inaugurated the Gajia Barrage in Seraikela district but remained tight-lipped when questioned about his rumored defection to the BJP.
When asked by media personnel if he was heading to Delhi, Soren responded cryptically, "I’m standing right here with you, so you can understand," leaving speculation in the air.
After the inauguration, Soren visited the Adityapur Imli Chowk office briefly before unexpectedly departing for Ranchi at around 7 PM.
Meanwhile, JMM MLA Samir Mohanty dismissed rumors of him joining the BJP, calling them baseless.
He stated, "The BJP is spreading false rumors. I could never leave JMM. Some people are anxious about my popularity, but I will never forget the respect I’ve received from CM Hemant Soren."
Mohanty categorically denied any intentions of switching political allegiance, reiterating his loyalty to JMM.
This development comes amid increasing speculation about political shifts within Jharkhand ahead of the upcoming elections.
