Court-Ordered Eviction Sparks Controversy in Jugsalai

Disputed Shop Sealed Amidst Ongoing Legal Battle

Land ownership conflict leads to tense eviction near Jugsalai Chowk Bazar, raising questions about legal procedures.

JAMSHEDPUR – A shop near Jugsalai Chowk Bazar was sealed and vacated following a court order, escalating a long-standing property dispute.

Magistrate Deputed Nazir Dheeraj Kumar oversaw the eviction process with District Administration support.

The disputed 2000 square feet of land has been at the center of a legal battle since 2012.

Mukesh Sharma claims ownership, stating he purchased the land from Kajaria in his mother’s name.

They requested a six-month extension to vacate, but their plea was ignored, Sharma claims.

The eviction led to a minor altercation, resulting in injuries to two individuals.

Vijay Ringasia’s lawyer contests the eviction’s legality, citing an upcoming court hearing on August 20.

He argues that an additional 200 square feet, including an advocate’s chamber, was unnecessarily vacated.

The case has seen rulings from lower courts, the High Court, and the Supreme Court.

Questions arise about the proper execution of the eviction order amidst ongoing legal proceedings.

The dispute involves a larger 4000 square feet parcel, with only half under contention.

Local authorities maintain that the eviction was carried out in compliance with court directives.

The incident highlights the complexities of property disputes and legal enforcement in Jamshedpur.
