Rift Emerges in Jamshedpur BJP Ahead of Jharkhand Assembly Elections
Old BJP workers protest against District President’s alleged favoritism, demanding intervention from state committee.
As the Jharkhand Assembly elections approach, a rift has emerged within the Jamshedpur BJP, with long-time party workers expressing their discontent over the recent expansion of the district BJP committee.
JAMSHEDPUR – Tensions are brewing within the Jamshedpur BJP as senior party workers have voiced their dissatisfaction with District President Sudhanshu Ojha’s leadership following the recent expansion of the district BJP committee.
A large number of veteran party workers are unhappy with the restructuring and have staged a symbolic one-day protest outside the district BJP office in Sakchi.
The protest was led by former district general secretary Rakesh Singh, who accused Ojha of adopting a dictatorial approach.
Singh claimed that the District President has sidelined experienced and long-serving party members, instead favoring a select few leaders in the new district committee.
The disgruntled members have called for the state committee to intervene and ensure that veteran leaders and workers are given the respect and positions they deserve within the party.
The protest highlights growing dissatisfaction within the ranks as the party gears up for the upcoming state assembly elections.
