Graduate College and Lions Club Jamshedpur Conduct Health Awareness Program on Cervical Cancer

Graduate College’s NSS unit and Lions Club Jamshedpur Steel City organized a health awareness program on cervical cancer.
JAMSHEDPUR – On 08/08/2024, Graduate College’s NSS unit, in collaboration with Lions Club Jamshedpur Steel City, conducted a health awareness program on cervical cancer at the college.
The chief guest, Dr. Ritika Kedia, provided comprehensive information about cervical cancer.
She discussed the importance of early detection and the availability of vaccines to prevent the disease.
Dr. Kedia emphasized that cervical cancer can be completely cured if detected early.
College Principal Veena Singh Priyadarshi welcomed Dr. Kedia with a plant.
The vote of thanks was given by NSS Program Officer and Head of the Physics Department, Dr. Sulekha Kumari.
The event was attended by professors Doris Das, Dr. Archana Sinha, Professor Pranati Ekka, Dr. Meera, and Lions Club Jamshedpur Steel City President Neena Bhagat, Secretary Sunita Mitra, Ashok Khandelwal, and other members.
The program aimed to raise awareness about cervical cancer prevention and encourage early detection among students.
