Dozens of illegal structures demolished; RPF and local police ensure security
In a major anti-encroachment drive, the Railway Land Department cleared illegal structures on railway property in Jugsalai, Jamshedpur.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Railway Land Department conducted a significant operation to remove encroachments from railway land in Jugsalai, Jamshedpur.
The operation targeted unauthorized constructions on railway property.
A substantial presence of RPF personnel and local police ensured security during the demolition drive.
Prior to the action, the Land Department had served notices to occupants near Jugsalai railway crossing, urging them to vacate.
Following the expiration of the notice period, bulldozers were deployed on both sides of the railway crossing.
Approximately 25 illegal shanty-like structures were razed during the operation.
A large contingent of male and female RPF personnel, along with local police, was present to handle any potential adverse situations.
SSC Sanjay Gupta of the Land Department explained that encroachments along railway tracks pose significant safety hazards.
He elaborated that after clearing the encroachments, the department plans to erect boundaries to prevent future intrusions.
The department aims to make the railway land encroachment-free through this campaign.
