District Admn Intensifies Dengue Prevention Efforts In Jamshedpur

Over 60,000 Houses Inspected For Mosquito Larvae In Three Days

Officials conduct widespread spraying and container checks across municipal areas.

JAMSHEDPUR – The district administration has ramped up its campaign to prevent dengue and other mosquito-borne diseases, with extensive inspections and treatments conducted over the past three days.

"We’ve checked over 60,000 houses for dengue larvae," a district official reported.

Key actions include:

– Inspection of 40,000 containers in municipal areas

– Treatment of 360 containers found with larvae

– Anti-larva spraying and fogging in affected areas

– Cleaning with bleaching powder in potential breeding sites

The campaign involves Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee, Mango Municipal Corporation, and other local bodies.

"Effective control requires eliminating potential mosquito breeding sources," the District Magistrate emphasized.

Teams are focusing on water tanks, coolers, drums, and other common breeding sites.

This initiative is part of a special communicable disease control campaign active since early July.

The administration urges residents to cooperate by eliminating standing water around homes.

These efforts aim to prevent outbreaks of dengue and other mosquito-borne illnesses during the rainy season.
