Ma Vipattarini Worshipped Across Jamshedpur Temples

Devotees Offer Prayers For Protection And Well-Being On First Tuesday After Rath Yatra

Hundreds of women participate in rituals honoring Durga’s protective form.

JAMSHEDPUR – On Tuesday, people in Jamshedpur came together to worship Ma Vipattarini, a form of Mother Durga, at different temples.

"The worship takes place on the first Tuesday or Saturday after Rath Yatra," explained a local priest.

Women were observed gathering in large numbers at temples, where they prayed for the safety and well-being of their families.

The number thirteen is considered significant, as people often make offerings in sets of thirteen items.

A devotee at Sonari Sabuj Sangh stated that they made thirteen types of offerings to the deity.

People gathered for worship at Sri-Sri Shyama Ma Kali Mandir, Sri Bhawani Kali Mandir, and various other locations.

At Namda Basti Kali Mandir, a total of 600 women were given prasad in cloth bags, showing their support for the plastic ban.

Several women chose to observe fasts as they took part in the rituals.

This event showcases the strong belief in the protective abilities of Ma Vipattarini.

For those who are unable to participate on Tuesday, the worship will continue on Saturday.
