Former minister Alamgir Alam has sought permission to attend the assembly session scheduled for Monday.

RANCHI – Former minister Alamgir Alam has requested the court’s permission to participate in the upcoming assembly session on Monday.

His lawyer has filed a petition in the PMLA court, which is set for hearing on the same day.

Alamgir Alam was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on May 15 in connection with a tender scam.

Currently, he is in judicial custody at Hotwar jail.

The hearing on Monday will determine whether Alamgir Alam can attend the legislative assembly session.

This case has drawn significant attention due to the involvement of a high-profile political figure.

A spokesperson for Alamgir Alam’s legal team stated, "We are hopeful that the court will grant permission for Mr. Alam to fulfill his legislative duties."
