JAMSHEDPUR – The Additional District Judge-3 (ADJ-3) Nishant Kumar’s court has sentenced Azhar Imam and Mohammad Asif to eight years of rigorous imprisonment in a case of culpable homicide and robbery.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 on each convict.
"The evidence presented led to convictions under IPC Section 304 (ii) for culpable homicide and robbery," stated a legal source.

The incident occurred on August 12, 2016, near Marine Drive.
Rahul Singh, the victim’s husband, filed an FIR at Sonari police station.
The criminals attempted to rob a truck before attacking Singh’s family.
Tragic Outcome
Rinku Devi, Singh’s wife, was fatally injured while protecting her child.
She succumbed to her injuries at TMH during treatment.

Eight witnesses testified during the trial.
Initial charges included murder (Section 302/34) and robbery (Section 393/34).
