Kolhan Region Awaits Monsoon Relief as Temperatures Soar

Saraikela records 40.1°C, highest in Jharkhand; Jamshedpur at 38.0°C

Meteorological department predicts heavy rainfall for East Singhbhum and Saraikela by June 26.

RANCHI – The Kolhan region, along with the rest of Jharkhand, continues to grapple with high temperatures as residents eagerly await monsoon relief.

Saraikela district experienced the highest temperature in the state on Monday, reaching 40.1°C.

Daltonganj, Godda, and Pakur districts also recorded temperatures of 40°C.

Jamshedpur registered a maximum temperature of 38.0°C and a minimum of 26.0°C.

Dr. Abhishek Anand, meteorologist at Ranchi center, confirmed monsoon’s entry into West Singhbhum on Sunday.

Heavy rainfall is predicted for East Singhbhum and Saraikela between June 25 and 26.

The Santhal Pargana and Kolhan regions may experience intense showers on June 25.

Wind speeds are expected to reach 40-50 km/h during the rainfall.

An orange alert for heavy rainfall has been issued for all three Kolhan districts until June 27.

This weather pattern indicates the gradual progression of the monsoon across Jharkhand.

Residents of East Singhbhum and Saraikela are advised to prepare for potential heavy rains.

The anticipated rainfall is expected to provide much-needed relief from the persistent heat wave.
