Soren Criticizes Central Government, Promises Development

Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren announced plans to boost tourism through the proposed Van Shri Eco Cottage scheme at Burudih Dam in Ghatshila.

MOUBHANDAR – Chief Minister Champai Soren addressed a gathering at Maubhandar, unveiling plans for an eco-tourism project at Burudih Dam in Ghatshila and criticizing the central government’s policies.

Soren inaugurated the project during his visit to the dam site, where he also planted trees to promote environmental conservation.

The Chief Minister expressed his government’s commitment to developing Burudih Dam as a national-level tourist destination.

In his address, Soren accused the BJP-led central government of neglecting Jharkhand’s interests.

"The central government has betrayed us. Thousands of mine workers in Rakha Copper, Kendadih, and Chapri have become unemployed," Soren stated.

He highlighted his government’s efforts to support the people, including the launch of the Abua Awas scheme when the central government allegedly failed to provide its share for the PM Awas Yojana.

Education and Infrastructure Development

Soren emphasized his government’s focus on improving education in the state.

"We are establishing model schools in every block to enhance the quality of education," the Chief Minister announced.

He also mentioned the initiation of a 15,000-kilometer road construction project under the Chief Minister’s Village Road Scheme.

Soren criticized the previous BJP government for closing schools and weakening tribal protection laws.

The Chief Minister promised to revive closed mines and ensure 50% employment for Adivasis, Moolvasis, Dalits, and minorities in private companies.

During the event, Soren inaugurated and laid foundation stones for various departmental schemes and distributed assets to beneficiaries.

The Chief Minister was received with a guard of honor by the district administration upon his arrival at Burudih Dam.
