Thieves Steal Cash and Valuables from Railway Employee’s Home in Jamshedpur
The house of railway employee Raju Bindu in Parsudih was burgled while he was away with his family.
JAMSHEDPUR – The home of Raju Bindu, a railway employee living in Quarter No. 405/1 near Officer Club in the Parsudih police station area, was burgled while he was away with his family.
Raju had gone to his village Munger with his family on June 7 due to children’s holidays and planned to return on June 18.
On Friday, a neighbor called Raju to inform him that the door of his quarter was open.
Raju immediately returned to the city on Saturday morning by the Chhapra-Tata Express.
Upon arrival, he discovered that the lock on the main gate was broken and the door was ajar.
Inside, he found the house ransacked with all belongings scattered.
"The thieves broke into the cupboard and stole jewelry and money," Raju reported. "They even took the children’s piggy bank."
Items stolen included a TV, music system, table fan, jewelry, and Rs 4,000 in cash.
Raju reported that approximately Rs 1.50 lakh, including cash, was stolen from the house.
He has lodged a written complaint with the Parsudih police station regarding the burglary.
Raju works in the accounts department at Tatanagar station.
The police are investigating the matter and searching for the culprits.
