The District Election Office has announced a detailed schedule and stringent guidelines for the vote counting process on June 4, ensuring fairness and transparency.

JAMSHEDPUR – The District Election Office has released a comprehensive schedule and strict guidelines for the vote counting process on June 4.

The Lok Sabha General Election 2024 is coming to an end, and the vote counting is set to take place on June 4.

The ETPBS and postal ballot strong rooms will be accessible starting from 4:00 am.

The EVM strong room is scheduled to be opened at 7:00 am.

The deadline for accepting postal ballots from service voters is 7:59 am.

The counting of ETBPS and postal ballots is scheduled to start at 8:00 am, with the EVM votes to follow at 8:30 am.

To count the assemblies, a total of 14 tables will be used for Baharagora, 15 for Ghatshila, 16 for Potka, 20 for Jugsalai, 19 for Jamshedpur East, and 16 for Jamshedpur West.

Ananya Mittal, the District Election Officer, stressed the importance of implementing strict measures to guarantee a just and transparent process.

An important meeting took place in the Collectorate Auditorium to discuss these arrangements. Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar and ADM Law and Order Anant Kumar were in attendance.

Mittal emphasized the importance of following the Election Commission of India’s guidelines without fail.

We strongly encourage political parties and independent candidates to appoint counting agents for each table.

Our security measures ensure that only authorized individuals have access through restricted entry with identity cards. We also take precautions during the transport of EVMs by using barricades. To further enhance security, we have implemented 360° CCTV surveillance and dedicated videographers to monitor the premises.

When entering the center, agents are only allowed to bring a copy, pen, and paper.

Please note that electronic devices, food items, and other personal belongings are not allowed.

Section 144 is implemented throughout the district to ensure the maintenance of law and order.

On June 04, there won’t be any alcohol sales as the government-licensed liquor shops will be closed. There will also be strict monitoring to ensure that illegal sales are prevented.

Our goal is to create a vote counting process that is smooth, transparent, and fair, which is why we have implemented extensive measures and strict protocols.
