Guidelines Issued for June 4 Vote Counting to Ensure Smooth Process
A training session for officers and personnel assigned to vote counting was conducted in the XLRI auditorium under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner cum District Election Officer Ananya Mittal.
JAMSHEDPUR – As per the instructions of Deputy Commissioner cum District Election Officer Ananya Mittal, a training session was held in the XLRI auditorium for officers and personnel involved in the counting of votes.
Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar provided necessary guidelines regarding the vote counting process for Jamshedpur Lok Sabha constituency on June 4.
The Deputy Development Commissioner emphasized the importance of adhering to the counting order, which outlines the responsibilities of all officers and personnel involved.
He stressed that those assigned specific duties must comply 100 percent to ensure no mistakes are made.
He identified the concerned officials and personnel sequentially according to the issued work order and detailed their responsibilities on the counting day.
No one will be allowed to enter the counting center without an identity card.
Officers were instructed to provide appointment letters and identity cards to Counting Assistants (CA), Counting Supervisors (CS), and Micro Observers (MO).
Separate officers have been appointed to re-check the data of votes from all assembly constituencies before submitting it to the Returning Officer.
Instructions were given regarding handling postal ballots from the strong room to the counting hall, counting ballot papers, ETPBS, videography of the entire process, and ensuring a smooth power supply in all strong rooms on the counting day.
The counting center premises will be under complete CCTV and videography surveillance.
Entry with mobile phones, matchboxes, lighters, water bottles, tobacco, cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, chewing gum, etc., will be prohibited.
The training session was attended by PD ITDA Dipankar Chaudhary, ADM Law and Order Anant Kumar, ADC Rohit Sinha, Deputy Election Officer Priyanka Singh, SDO Dhalbhum and Ghatsila, along with other AROs and all AEROs.
