Polling in Dumka, Rajmahal, and Godda Constituencies on June 1 for Final Phase of General Election 2024

14 Candidates Competing in Rajmahal, 19 Each in Godda and Dumka

The Dumka, Rajmahal, and Godda Lok Sabha constituencies in Jharkhand will conduct polling on June 1 in the final phase of the General Election 2024.

RANCHI – On June 1, the polling for the Dumka, Rajmahal, and Godda Lok Sabha constituencies in Jharkhand will take place, marking the final phase of the General Election 2024.

There are a total of 14 candidates vying for the Rajmahal seat, while both Godda and Dumka have 19 candidates each.

The Chief Electoral Officer of Jharkhand, K Ravi Kumar, has made an important announcement regarding the upcoming elections. To ensure transparency and efficiency, every booth in Dumka, Rajmahal, and Godda will be closely monitored through webcasting from a dedicated control room.

Observers closely monitor the situation with cameras installed both inside and outside each booth.

The polling personnel have already arrived at their assigned stations and will be returning on the same day once the voting is finished.

To ensure security, the authorities have sealed the borders of Bihar and West Bengal connected to the election area.

K Ravi Kumar assured that every effort has been made to ensure a higher voter turnout, including making arrangements for transportation of voters from remote areas.

Additional accommodations have been put in place to ensure that senior and disabled voters can easily access polling stations.

Security personnel have been stationed at each booth to guarantee a fair and safe voting experience, supported by rapid response teams on motorcycles.

Another incident occurred where the Chief Electoral Officer sadly announced the passing of a private bus driver who was involved in election work in Deoghar. The driver’s family will receive an ex-gratia grant in accordance with the regulations.

Ever since the Model Code of Conduct was put into effect, authorities in Jharkhand have successfully confiscated illegal materials and cash amounting to a staggering Rs 134.75 crore.
