Extensive Preparations Underway for Vote Counting in Jamshedpur on June 4

East Singhbhum district administration gears up for a smooth and secure vote counting process with extensive security measures in place.

The East Singhbhum district administration is making comprehensive preparations for the vote counting on June 4, ensuring a seamless and secure process.

JAMSHEDPUR – The East Singhbhum district administration has made thorough preparations for the vote counting on June 4. They have deployed 22 magistrates and 77 police officials to oversee the process, which will begin at 8 a.m. at the Jamshedpur Co-operative College strong room.

Additional security will be provided by SAP jawans.

Ananya Mittal, the Deputy Commissioner-cum-Returning Officer for the Jamshedpur parliamentary constituency, has kindly requested all personnel involved to kindly report to the strong room by 6 a.m.

Party representatives will be granted entry at the beginning of the counting process.

The counting process will start with the postal ballots, which will be supervised by the DC-cum-district election officer. After that, the votes cast using Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) will be counted.

The counting halls are organized in a way that promotes efficiency and collaboration. There are a total of six halls, each equipped with 14 counting tables and an additional table for the Assistant Returning Officer (ARO).

Police officers from the district will be responsible for ensuring security outside the strong room, while the SAP team will be in charge of securing the perimeter of the Co-operative College.

Authorities have instructed magistrates to take a firm approach in dealing with individuals who may cause trouble, and as a precautionary measure, all liquor shops in the district will be closed on June 4 to maintain peace and prevent any disruptions.

A reliable source has confirmed that all wine shops in the district will be closed on June 4, with the aim of ensuring comprehensive safety measures.

The counting is set to wrap up by 4:30 p.m., which will include the official presentation of the merit certificate to the winning candidate.

Conversations about the election results are happening all over the city, as residents excitedly discuss the potential of the candidates.

Many people believe that Bidyut Baran Mahto is the popular choice in the local area, although he might face a challenging competition from JMM candidate Samir Kumar Mohanty.

Personnel on duty have been informed that cell phones are prohibited inside the strong room. However, political party representatives are allowed to bring water bottles and lunch boxes.
