Palamu recorded temperatures as high as 39.9 degrees Celsius, while Baharagora, Seraikela, and West Singhbhum experienced temperatures in the high 30s, indicating the severity of the heat.
The Meteorological Department has predicted that many districts, such as Sahibganj, Godda, Pakur, Dumka, Deoghar, Jamtara, Giridih, Dhanbad, Koderma, Hazaribagh, Bokaro, Ranchi, Khunti, Lohardaga, Gumla, Simdega, and West Singhbhum, will experience rain and storms on Friday.
The forecast has raised hopes among the residents for some relief from the oppressive heat that has been prevailing in the state.
