Champai Soren Celebrates State’s Progress in Rural Development

Jharkhand has been recognized for its significant strides in rural development, securing the ninth position under the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Rurban Mission (SPMRM), which is a prestigious national initiative aimed at reducing the rural-urban divide by fostering sustainable development.

RANCHI – Chief Minister Champai Soren has expressed his delight over Jharkhand’s achievement, commending the state’s progress under the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Rurban Mission.

In a recent tweet, the CM congratulated the citizens of Jharkhand and highlighted the government’s role in enhancing the living standards of tribals, indigenous people, and rural communities.

The Chief Minister’s statement reflects the government’s commitment to the rural sector, stating, “Congratulations, Jharkhand!

The schemes of our government which are bringing changes in the standard of living of the tribals, indigenous people, and common people living in the rural areas of Jharkhand and the changes being brought about by them, are being appreciated by the Central Government.

Launched by the Ministry of Rural Development in 2016, the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Rurban Mission seeks to develop 300 Rurban clusters across India.

These clusters aim to provide comprehensive economic, social, and physical infrastructure to bridge the gap between rural and urban areas, encapsulating a population of approximately 30 to 40 lakh across clusters of 15-20 villages each.

Chief Minister Soren emphasized that the recognition by the Central Government is a testament to the collective efforts and cooperation of the people of Jharkhand.

He assured that the state would continue its endeavor to foster positive changes and enhance the quality of life across its rural landscapes.
