Jamshedpur Schools Face Parental Outrage

Concerns Rise as Private Schools in Jamshedpur Fail Students in Classes 9 and 11

In Jamshedpur, the dissatisfaction among parents regarding the academic performance of their children in private schools, especially those affiliated with the ICSE board, is reaching a boiling point due to the schools’ management practices.

JAMSHEDPUR – Parents of Class 9 and 11 students of Kerala Samajam Model School and DBMS School are now up in arms against the school management on the issue of failing their wards. The parents created a ruckus on the issue of failing children.

The matter escalated at Kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS) and DBMS School, where parents voiced their frustrations loudly on Monday.

Parents are troubled by the schools‘ tendency to attribute the failure of students in classes 9th and 11th to parental responsibility, absolving the school management of any blame.

This situation is not only jeopardizing the students’ futures but also subjecting them to undue distress.

Additionally, there have been accusations of misconduct by the school management towards concerned parents.

Kerala Samajam Model School has responded by scheduling a meeting with parents for Wednesday, indicating a potential opening for dialogue.

The parents have stated firmly that unless the discussions with the management are constructive, they are prepared to initiate protests against the school’s handling of student evaluations.

The controversy gained significant attention following a major disturbance at Rajendra Vidyalaya, where the dissatisfaction between parents and school management boiled over.

This incident was notable enough to necessitate intervention by administrative authorities, who worked towards a resolution.

Such turmoil highlights a growing tension over the perceived arbitrariness of school management decisions, particularly regarding the academic performance of students in critical school years.

Disappointment and anger among parents have intensified, especially following reports of a majority of students in classes 9th and 11th being failed, a move that has cast a shadow over the educational landscape in Jamshedpur.
