Demand for Fair Education and Promotion of Failed Students

The city of Jamshedpur is witnessing a growing discontent among parents and students due to a significant number of failures in private schools, particularly in classes 9 and 11, sparking protests and demands for equitable education.

JAMSHEDPUR – Adivasi Chhatra Ekta demonstrated at the SDO office on Tuesday, reflecting widespread resentment over the failure of numerous students in private schools across the city.

Chhatra Adivasi Ekta Morcha, led by Indra Hembram, submitted a memorandum to SDO Parul Singh, calling for an investigation into the allegations of biased marking favoring students who receive tuition from their teachers.

Parents have voiced concerns over an apparent bias in grading, claiming that teachers award higher marks to students who attend their private tuition, leaving others to face failure.

Hembram emphasized the lack of effective teaching in schools as a core reason for the widespread failures, demanding that all children be promoted to the next class and receive education without discrimination.

The movement spearheaded by Adivasi Chhata Ekra seeks not only the promotion of failed students but also a shift towards a more inclusive and fair educational system in Jamshedpur’s private schools.

The demonstration and submission of the memorandum to the SDO office marks a significant step towards addressing the grievances of students and parents, challenging the educational practices that have led to mass failures.
