Protests Erupt at Kerala Public School Over Alleged Unfair Failures in Re-tests

KPS Faces Backlash as Students Fail Re-tests, Parents and Union Leaders Demand Accountability

Parents and students staged a protest at Kerala Public School (KPS) following allegations of unfair failures in re-test examinations for classes 9 and 11.

JAMSHEDPUR – The gates of Kerala Public School became the venue for heated protests as eighty students reportedly failed their re-test exams, leading to accusations against the school’s administration for deliberately failing them.

The discontent arose after students who had previously shown minimal mark differences failed once again in their re-examinations.

Under the guidance of Hemant Pathak from the All Jharkhand Student Union and Youth Committee, parents sought a meeting with the school’s principal which did not materialize, prompting the protests.

Frustrations were vocalized at the school’s main gate after several hours of waiting without any official response.

The protesters criticized the rationale behind the re-tests, particularly questioning the school’s motives given that fees were charged for both the original exams and the re-tests.

Pathak raised concerns over the school’s alleged prioritization of financial benefits over educational integrity, suggesting a strategy to compel parents into paying more under the pretense of educational necessity.
