Jamshedpur to sparkle with elaborate lighting for JN Tata’s 185th birth anniversary, led by Tata Sons’ Chairman N Chandrasekaran.
JAMSHEDPUR – In honor of the 185th birth anniversary of Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata, Tata Sons’ Chairman, N Chandrasekaran, will inaugurate a series of events in Jamshedpur, starting with the lighting of Jubilee Park on March 2.
The city is adorned with vibrant lights at over 50 key sites, celebrating the legacy of the Tata Steel founder.
This year’s Founder’s Day theme, ‘Technology for People and Planet,’ echoes Tata’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.
Chandrasekaran’s visit will include inaugurating the PN Bose Geological Centre and the 14th SNTI Technical Exhibition, showcasing the theme’s significance.
The lighting display, a tribute to JN Tata, will be available for public viewing until March 5, enhancing the city’s beauty and commemorating its historical roots.
Commemorative Events and Tributes
The Founder’s Day schedule is filled with tributes and celebrations, reflecting on Tata’s vision and contributions.
On March 3, Chandrasekaran, alongside Tata Steel officials, will offer floral tributes to JN Tata within Tata Steel works and at Postal Park.
The day will also feature a pageantry parade, highlighting the theme ‘Technology for People and Planet,’ with participation from social organizations, NCC cadets, and more.
An exhibition at Steelennium Hall will further illustrate the technological advancements aimed at benefiting society and the environment.
