Guard Council Marks 58 Years with Celebrations at Tatanagar

All India Guard Council’s Foundation Day observed with distinguished guests

58th Foundation Day of All India Guard Council celebrated with railway dignitaries and political leaders at Tatanagar Railway Institute.

JAMSHEDPUR – The All India Guard Council (AIGC) commemorated its 58th Foundation Day with a series of events at the Tatanagar Railway Institute, attended by notable figures including Jugsalai MLA Mangal Kalindi, NFIR Assistant General Secretary Shivaranjan Mishra, and Railway Regional Manager Abhishek Singhal.

Highlighting the importance of organizational strength, MLA Mangal Kalindi pledged ongoing support for the Guard Council members’ issues.

The event saw messages of congratulations from various leaders, including MP Vidyut Varan Mahato and Minister Banna Gupta, acknowledging the vital role of track managers in railway operations.

Established on 18 February 1966 by Atar Singh Ahuja and others, AIGC’s foundation day is annually celebrated across all railway zones.

Abhishek Singhal discussed the evolving challenges in the railway sector, emphasizing the crucial contributions of train managers to passenger safety and service.

The celebration was also marked by the presence of AIGC Divisional Secretary NN Singh among others, underscoring a collective commitment to the council’s legacy and future.

Chakradharpur’s AIGC branch celebrated the day at Chase Academy, where President RVP Singh led the flag hoisting and cake-cutting ceremonies, fostering a spirit of unity and dedication towards the council’s goals.

The event also set the stage for the upcoming 18th Annual General Conference of AIGC South Eastern Railway on 12 April, signaling continued efforts towards organizational strengthening and member support.
