Athletes from Jharkhand Excel on Day 3 of the 44th National Master Championship

The 44th National Master Athletic Championship’s third day sees remarkable performances from Jharkhand athletes, enhancing the state’s medal tally.

JAMSHEDPUR – At the Chhatrapati Shivaji Stadium, the Jharkhand contingent’s prowess was on full display during the National Master Athletic Championship.

Sanjeev Kumar Tomar led the charge, securing gold in the discus throw event for the 55 plus age group with a remarkable 42-meter throw.

His achievement was a continuation of his success, having already won gold in hammer throw and silver in shot putt earlier in the championship.

Savitri Savaiya, competing in the 45 plus age group, added a silver medal to Jharkhand’s collection through her performance in javelin throw.

The medal haul reflects the Jharkhand team’s outstanding performance, with a total of 10 medals won under the leadership of Sanjeev Kumar Tomar.

Tomar, an international master athlete and the General Secretary of the Master Athletic Association of Jharkhand, highlighted the team’s collective effort.

With five gold, three silver, and two bronze medals, Jharkhand has significantly triumphed at the event, marking a notable achievement for the state.

Fellow master athletes extended their congratulations to the successful Jharkhand contingent, acknowledging their exceptional achievements.
