JAMSHEDPUR – In a significant move to improve sanitation and public health, Zila Parishad member Dr. Paritosh Singh inaugurated the renovation of the sewerage drainage system in the LIG Housing Colony, Govindpur.
The project, financed by the Zila Parishad, aims to refurbish 40 deteriorated drains in a colony established five decades ago, addressing a critical infrastructure need.
Dr. Singh highlighted the project’s commencement as a response to the community’s urgent appeals, mitigating potential health risks from stagnant wastewater.
The renovation marks the fulfillment of a long-standing demand by the residents, who have voiced concerns over disease risks due to poor drainage.
Notable attendees at the launch included Chief Giribala Lohra, Panchayat Committee members, and several ward members, underscoring the project’s community-wide significance.
