BJP’s Operation Lotus Gains Momentum in Jharkhand

Former Ichagarh MLA Likely to Rejoin BJP in Seraikela Kharsawan

The BJP in Jharkhand welcomes back key figures, including former MLA Arvind Singh, as part of its strategic “Operation Lotus.”

JAMSHEDPUR – In a significant move under its “Operation Lotus,” the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jharkhand is poised to welcome back former Ichagarh MLA, Arvind Singh, and other prominent figures, marking a strategic expansion ahead of upcoming elections.

Arvind Singh, also known as Malkhan Singh, is set to rejoin the BJP at a special ceremony at Chandil Resort, Seraikela Kharsawan, highlighting the party’s efforts to consolidate its position in the region.

The event, scheduled for Tuesday, 13th February, will see the presence of BJP State President Babulal Marandi and Laxmikant Vajpayee, the BJP’s Jharkhand in-charge, underscoring the importance of this reunion.

In a boost to the party’s youth appeal, Samaresh Singh, AJSU Party’s metropolitan convenor and a notable youth leader, will also join the BJP ranks alongside Arvind Singh.

Preparations are in full swing for the induction of several other leaders into the BJP, with a committee dedicated to overseeing this process, signaling a broader strategy to reinforce the party’s leadership base.

While speculation surrounds the potential rejoining of figures like MLA Saryu Roy, Amarpreet Singh Kale, and Satish Singh, official confirmations are awaited, adding anticipation to the party’s expanding coalition.

Arvind Singh’s return is particularly notable, filling the vacancy left by late BJP MLA Sadhucharan Mahato from Ichagarh, as the BJP strategically positions itself for forthcoming electoral challenges.

The event is expected to not only signify a homecoming for former members but also to strengthen the BJP’s electoral machinery in Jharkhand, as it eyes both consolidation and expansion in the political landscape of the state.
