Rahul Gandhi Visits Baba Baidyanath Temple in Jharkhand

Congress Leader Connects Faith and Politics in Deoghar

In a significant move blending faith with politics, Rahul Gandhi, on his Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra, visited the Baba Baidyanath temple in Deoghar, symbolizing a deep-rooted cultural engagement amidst political campaigning.

JAMSHEDPUR – The recent visit of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi to the Baba Baidyanath temple in Deoghar marked a significant blend of faith and politics, as he performed traditional worship rituals dressed in a red dhoti.

The Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra, led by Gandhi, made its way to the sacred city, where he was seen engaging in a full-fledged worship session at the temple.

This act of faith by Gandhi came under scrutiny by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, who criticized it as merely a show.

In Godda, Gandhi proclaimed his mission to counteract the divisive forces of BJP and RSS with a "shop of love" amidst a metaphorical market of hatred, aiming to dismantle the seeds of caste, religion, and class-based division.

During his roadshow in Godda, he voiced concerns over the Modi government’s focus on corporate allies at the expense of the nation’s farmers and the poor, criticizing the sale of crucial national assets to favored businessmen.

He received a warm welcome from thousands of Congress supporters and leaders as he arrived at Sarkanda Chowk, emphasizing the party’s solidarity and support under the leadership of key figures like Jairam Ramesh and Ghulam Mir.

Gandhi criticized the central government for neglecting farmers while absolving large debts for industrialists, highlighting a disparity in treatment and calling for justice for the agricultural community.

His visit to Jharkhand was framed as a crusade against injustice, with a focus on supporting the tribal government against alleged destabilization efforts, showcasing Congress’s commitment to upholding democratic values.
