New Flight Service Connects Mumbai to Sacred City of Deoghar

Direct flights boost accessibility to Baidyanath Dham temple for devotees

RANCHI – A new direct flight service launched today bridges Mumbai and Deoghar, boosting access to the sacred Baidyanath Dham.

The service operates three times weekly.

Meanwhile, travelers from Deoghar to Mumbai will pay Rs 8,591.

On the other hand, the return journey costs Rs 8,400.

Baba Baidyanath Dham attracts millions of devotees annually.

Moreover, the temple sees peak pilgrim visits during Sawan month.

“The direct flights will transform pilgrimage experiences,” stated a local tourism official.

The Deoghar Airport opened in July 2022.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated this facility.

Currently, the airport connects with Delhi, Kolkata, and Bengaluru.

In addition, it offers flights to Patna and Ranchi.

MP Nishikant Dubey announced future expansion plans.

Besides, new routes to Guwahati and Hyderabad will begin next year.

The airport handled over 100,000 passengers in 2023.

Additionally, it serves as a major religious tourism gateway.
