New Wage Agreement Elevates Tata Steel Foundation Staff Remuneration
Tata Steel Foundation’s new wage revision agreement, effective from October 1, 2021, enhances employee compensation and introduces various allowances, benefiting 82 staff members.
JAMSHEDPUR – The recent wage revision agreement by Tata Steel Foundation, a subsidiary of Tata Steel, marks a significant enhancement in employee compensation and benefits.
82 employees will benefit from this comprehensive revision, which includes a range of allowances and medical facilities.
Medical benefits now encompass treatment for employees’ daughters and referral services.
From January 1, 2024, the revised leave policy will be implemented, adding to the range of benefits.
The agreement includes a monthly fuel allowance of Rs 600 and a field and maintenance allowance of Rs 500.
Employees will also receive a Leave Travel Concession (LTC) totaling Rs 7,000 over two years.
A monthly convenience allowance of Rs 600 has been introduced as part of the agreement.
Annual increments will range from Rs 185 to Rs 445, with a two-year arrear increment ranging from Rs 1,42,770 to Rs 1,77,330.
The revised salary structure includes a basic pay of Rs 15,680, a fixed Dearness Allowance (DA) of Rs 2,200, and a variable DA of Rs 1,967.5, resulting in a minimum pay of Rs 19,847.05.
The agreement, valid until September 30, 2028, was signed by key representatives from Tata Steel Foundation and the Union.
