Hindu Leader Rajan Zed Receives Prestigious Award in Punjab

Rajan Zed, a prominent Hindu leader from the USA, has been honored with the "Global Hindu Statesman Award" by Jyoti B.Ed. College in Punjab, India.

WORLD DESK – Rajan Zed, an esteemed Hindu and interfaith leader globally, has been recognized with the "Global Hindu Statesman Award" by Jyoti B.Ed. College.

This prestigious award was presented during Zed’s visit to the college located in Fazilka, southwestern Punjab.

The citation praised Zed, President of the Universal Society of Hinduism, for being a global voice for Hindus and addressing various Hindu issues worldwide.

Notably, Zed has read Hindu prayers in both the United States Senate and House of Representatives in Washington DC, as well as in 292 other legislative bodies across the USA.

His efforts in promoting a worldwide Hindu identity and enhancing the understanding of Hinduism were highlighted in the citation.

The citation was officially signed by President Surinder Kumar Thakral, Secretary Roshan Lal Thakkar, and Principal Anita Arora of Jyoti B.Ed. College.

The college, committed to training socially responsible and professionally skilled teachers, acknowledged Zed’s significant contributions.

In addition to this honor, Zed holds the World Interfaith Leader Award and has been involved in various interfaith initiatives.

He is a Senior Fellow and Religious Advisor to the Foundation for Religious Diplomacy and serves on the Advisory Board of The Interfaith Peace Project.

Zed has also been a panelist for “On Faith” by The Washington Post and produces the “Faith Forum” multi-faith panel since 2011.
