Nagar Kirtan will Mark 357th Anniversary of Sikh Guru in Jamshedpur

Telco Gurudwara’s Nagar Kirtan to honor Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s 357th birth anniversary with prayers, langar, and a religious procession in Jamshedpur.

JAMSHEDPUR – The city’s Sikh community is set to experience a spiritual uplift as all 33 district Gurudwaras don their festive look for the 357th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

The celebration, organized by the Central Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, will witness a grand Nagar Kirtan starting from Telco Gurudwara and culminating at Sakchi Gurudwara.

This procession is not just a march but a spiritual journey, featuring soulful recitations of Gurubani Keertans by esteemed Sikh preachers.

Sikh devotees will traverse various areas during the procession, imbibing the teachings and essence of their revered Guru.

Guru Gobind Singh Ji, born in Patna in 1666, is celebrated for his foundational role in establishing the Khalsa Panth in 1699, symbolizing resistance against oppression and the championing of religious liberty.

This historic event is more than a commemoration; it’s a reaffirmation of the Sikh community’s commitment to uphold the principles laid down by their Guru.

Participants will not only be part of the procession but also engage in special prayer ceremonies, reflecting on the Guru’s teachings.
