Ayodhya Dham Inspires Grand Procession in Sundernagar, Invoking Devotional Fervor
The grand Akshat Kalash Yatra, marked by hundreds of men and women in Sundernagar, celebrated the consecration of Ayodhya’s Ram temple, echoing with musical beats and chants of Jai Shri Ram.
JAMSHEDPUR – The vibrant Akshat Kalash Yatra, a three-kilometer procession, recently graced the streets of Sundernagar, showcasing the community’s deep-rooted devotion and cultural heritage. Women, clad in saffron sarees and barefoot, led the procession, dancing and chanting to the rhythm of Lord Shri Ram’s tunes, embodying a spirit of unity and devotion. This procession, concluding at Sundernagar Shiv Shakti Temple, not only traversed Sundernagar Public Durga Puja Ground and Sundernagar Chowk but also incorporated Aarti ceremonies, adding a spiritual dimension to the event. The significance of the event was further heightened by the participation of numerous dignitaries and community leaders from East Singhbhum District Council and beyond. Their presence underscored the community’s collective spirit in commemorating this momentous occasion. Young social worker Anmol Verma captured the sentiment of the gathering by reflecting on the realization of a long-held dream – witnessing Ayodhya Dham, a manifestation of collective faith and history, which once seemed like an unattainable dream. Former MLA Maneka Sardar, echoing the historical significance of the temple, called upon everyone to illuminate their homes and temples on the 22nd of January, marking a symbolic connection to the 500-year journey towards this auspicious day. Bari Murmu, President of JIP, extended an invitation to partake in the Akshat Yatra to Ayodhya, proposing a nationwide celebration reminiscent of Diwali on the evening of January 22nd by lighting 11 lamps at every home. This proposal not only reflects the joyous spirit of the occasion but also seeks to unify the country in a shared act of devotion and celebration.
