Aspiring Engineers Program 2022 Celebrates Graduation at SNTI Jamshedpur
Tata Steel’s AEP 2022 batch marks graduation with a convocation ceremony, highlighting the program’s commitment to nurturing engineering talent.
JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel’s Engineering Development and Innovation Centre (EDIC) proudly celebrated the graduation of the 2022 Aspiring Engineers Program (AEP) batch on January 10, 2024, at SNTI, Jamshedpur.
This ceremony marked a significant milestone for the 55 trainees who successfully completed the program.
Avneesh Gupta, Vice President of TQM and Engineering & Projects at Tata Steel, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Vinita Prakash, Chief HR of Engineering & Projects at Tata Steel, was also in attendance.
The AEP, previously known as the AET Program, was launched in 2016 as a forward-thinking initiative for training and recruiting engineering trainees across various departments of Tata Steel.
In this year’s convocation, Shrilaxmi J S was acclaimed as the top achiever in Civil Engineering, while V Shriram excelled in EEI.
Subhayan Mal topped the Mechanical Branch, with V Shriram also being celebrated as the overall batch topper.
The Aspiring Engineers Program is an intensive one-year training course, meticulously designed to transform college graduates into industry-ready professionals.
It offers a comprehensive learning experience, blending six months of classroom training with an equal duration of hands-on job experience.
This approach ensures that the trainees develop a robust set of skills.
Beyond technical training, the AEP emphasizes the importance of holistic development.
It includes various sports activities to promote physical health, teamwork, and camaraderie among the participants.
