Urgent Call for Action After Electrification Incident in Mango Shankosai
A dangerous situation has emerged in Bhiku Path of Mango Shankosai Road Number 1, where an idle iron pole caused an electric shock, injuring two local children and prompting urgent calls for action.
JAMSHEDPUR – In the Mango Shankosai area of Jamshedpur, a lingering safety hazard has emerged due to an electrified iron pole.
The incident occurred on Tuesday evening, causing an electric shock to two young children, Prabhat and Naveen Pramanik.
Both children, belonging to local resident Pramila Pramanik, were partially injured due to the shock.
This alarming situation is centered around a hand pump near the Reena Sahu residence, which is adjacent to the electrified pole.
Residents had initially installed the iron pole to facilitate electricity in their area, funding it themselves.
Later, the department replaced it with a cement pole but left the iron pole in place.
The iron pole has been carrying an electric current for a month, creating a perilous condition.
Despite numerous complaints, the department has shown a lack of serious response.
BJP leader Vikas Singh intervened, contacting senior officials in the electrical department and urging the immediate removal of the pole to prevent further incidents.
This incident underscores the pressing need for responsive and effective management of public utilities to ensure the safety of residents in Jamshedpur.
