JAMSHEDPUR – An electric pole crashed in Tangrani village on Rajnagar-Seraikela Road affecting the flow of road traffic.

The locals informed the electricity department, however, swift action was not taken and the traffic remained affected for some time.

Due to the constant operation of overloaded vehicles on the Rajnagar-Seraikela route, locals often fear the potential for accidents.

Villagers express concerns over the daily risks posed by through traffic, including potential harm to life and property.

Disruptions affected daily wage earners and students, emphasizing the broader impact on the community’s day-to-day life.

An electric pole, struck by an unidentified vehicle, blocked the road, prompting a halt in traffic flow.

This incident sparked concerns over public safety and the efficiency of emergency response services.

The village’s proactive response involved notifying the relevant authorities early in the morning.

Despite these efforts, the absence of police and electricity department personnel was noted.

"The community’s prompt action to report the hazard shows a commitment to safety and civic responsibility," said a local resident. “However the apathy of the electricity department remains apathetic,” he added.

A serious accident was fortunately avoided when the electric pole fell.

"The incident underscores the urgent need for improved road safety measures," remarked another concerned resident.

He stressed that the incident in Tangrani village underscores the need for heightened safety measures on local roads.
