Indian Vice President Emphasizes Education’s Impact on National Progress at IIT Dhanbad
Vice President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar today accentuated the pivotal role of universities in India’s economic growth during the IIT Dhanbad convocation.
DHANBAD – Today, India’s Vice President, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, spoke at the annual convocation of IIT Dhanbad (ISM).
He emphasized the significant role universities play in the national economy.
Dhankhar described education as a powerful transformation tool, impacting the country’s global status.
He noted the direct relationship between the quality of youth education and national standing.
The Vice President praised the Indian Prime Minister as a global leader, stressing a nonpartisan approach to governance.
He called for State and Federal Government collaboration for national development.
Dhankhar highlighted the importance of institutions like IITs in leading technological advancements in India.
He spoke of an impending technology revolution, altering lifestyles, jobs, and social interactions.
"Our Amrit Kaal stands as our Gaurav Kaal," he stated, referring to significant achievements in legislation and policy.
The Vice President lauded India’s defense capabilities and recent technological milestones, including the indigenous warship Vikrant.
He proposed creating a confederation of IIT alumni to contribute to policymaking and serve as change agents.
Dignitaries at the event included Prof. Prem Vrat, Prof. J. K. Pattanayak, Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan, Governor of Jharkhand, and Shri Banna Gupta, Jharkhand’s Health, Medical Education, and Family Welfare Minister.
