Jamshedpur Miscreants Attack Police Team

Parsudih Incident Leads to Quick Arrests, Injured Officers

In a violent confrontation, two ASIs suffer injuries as police corner armed miscreants in Jamshedpur.

JAMSHEDPUR – A crisis unfolded in the usually tranquil vicinity of Barigoda under the Parsudih police station’s watch late Friday evening.

Assistant Sub-Inspectors, identified as Satish Kumar Pandey and Surendra Kumar Sharma, found themselves in harm’s way, sustaining injuries amidst their official duties.

Their mission to apprehend pistol-wielding miscreants abruptly turned into a scene of violence when they were met with a shower of stones.

The assailants took advantage of the chaos, fleeing towards Jojobeda, leaving the officers in need of immediate medical attention.

The rapid response from Parsudih and Govindpur police units was a testament to the coordinated efforts of the force.

Medical personnel at Sadar Hospital swiftly attended to the officers, with ASI Pandey subsequently moved to TMH due to the severity of his injuries.

Assistant Sub-Inspector Sharma’s injuries, though serious, were less severe, involving his hand and leg.

In the wake of the attack, the law enforcement community, led by ASP Sumit Aggarwal, convened at Parsudih police station.

A strategic team, forged by SSP Kishore Kaushal’s mandate, executed a raid that culminated in the detention of three individuals.

The operation not only resulted in arrests but also the seizure of a firearm and ammunition.

These arrests mark another chapter in the ongoing battle against repeat offenders in the region.

The culprits, among them Doma and associates from Barigoda, were previously known to the police and have served time in jail.

Earlier that fateful evening, their intoxication and threatening display of pistols in Rahargora and Barigoda had set the stage for their downfall.

Civilians’ alerts to the Parsudih station triggered the deployment of the police team in civilian attire to the Barigoda Durga Puja ground.

Despite their stealthy approach, the police’s attempt to encircle the miscreants backfired, leading to their stoning and the subsequent chase.
