DC Reviews Birth and Death Registration Progress; Guides Mobile Tower Land Marking

District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner, Mr. Manjunath Bhajantri, reviewed progress on birth and death registration, and mobile tower land marking in Naxal-affected areas, providing essential directives.

JAMSHEDPUR – District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Mr. Manjunath Bhajantri reviewed the progress in birth and death registration and land marking for mobile towers in militancy affected areas issuing necessary guidelines.

From 14th July to 14th August, 100% birth certificates of the children left out are targeted.

In this meeting convened through video conferencing, Deputy Development Commissioner Mr. Manish Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Jaideep Tigga, Civil Surgeon Dr. Jujhar Majhi, District Statistics Officer Mr. Arun Dwivedi, all Block Development Officers, Zonal Officers, MOIC and other concerned were involved.

District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner thoroughly reviewed the applications received in block wise birth/death registration and their execution.

Information was taken from all the concerned as to out of the applications received by them, how many applications have come within 21 days, delay cases ranging from 21 days to less than one year or delay cases of more than one year.

Under this campaign, out of total 34049 applications received for birth registration, 8005 birth certificates have been issued while executing 17003.

On the other hand, out of total 3178 applications received for death registration, 896 certificates have been issued while executing 1599.

The District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner said that this achievement is very less, he directed to get maximum number of applications by bringing public awareness towards the campaign.

Along with this, time-bound execution of applications was also emphasized.

He said that it should be ensured that the above certificate is available to the common citizens under the normal process.

A review was done by the District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner with the concerned Zonal Officer regarding marking the land for setting up mobile towers in the militancy affected areas.

Mobile towers are to be installed at Bhumru, Fuljhor and Makuli Jangli in Ghatshila, Jamira in Chakulia, Nunia in Dumariya and Telaidih in Potka.

The concerned real estate officers informed that the land has been identified, other necessary action is under process.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner was instructed by the Deputy Commissioner to take further action in this regard.

Common citizens should be the focal point, strengthen Panchayat, Block, Zonal and Police Station offices.

In the review meeting, the District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner directed all the officials to speed up the development works by implementing the government’s ambitious plans on top priority.

Whether it is the work of infrastructure construction or making panchayats and block and zonal offices accessible to the general public, concerted efforts should be made in this direction.

Emphasizing on better internet at Panchayat level also, he said that the better the technology is used, the efficiency will double-triple.

The District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner also prepared an outline regarding the #TalkToDC program being started by the district administration from August 16.

He told that through Pragya Kendra, the common citizens will directly connect with the senior officers of the district and block and the concerned departmental officials.

Efforts will be made to resolve matters related to panchayat, block, zone and police station immediately.

Except encroachment on government land and other matters related to it, other matters related to land will not be heard in it.

Discussion was held on organizing separate camps regarding land related matters.

He clearly said that this program is being organized keeping the common citizens at the center point, bring awareness among the people so that they can get immediate solution to their problems.
