Mumbai City FC leads 4-0 over Jamshedpur FC in Durand Cup match in Kolkata

Mumbai City FC leads 4-0 over Jamshedpur FC post halftime in Durand Cup match in Kolkata, displaying confidence and experience in a dominating game.

DESK – Mumbai City FC dominated the encounter with Jamshedpur FC in the Durand Cup tournament in Kolkata.

As soon as the game started post half time, Yoell Van Nieff Scored taking Mumbai City ahead with 4-0.

At half time, they were 3-0 ahead of Jamshedpur FC with a clear victory in sight.

Despite flashes of talent and promises, Jamshedpur FC were clearly looking inexperienced and out of depth.

This was their first match, and Mumbai FC were playing their second match, which could explain the gap in performance.

Mumbai City FC dominated in terms of ball possession.

Although Jamshedpur FC did manage to steer the ball deftly on occasions, they could not convert their possession into a combined attack.

The ball was being snatched or mis-passed easily, showing a lack of experience.

On the other hand, Mumbai were looking far more confident and experienced, dribbling the ball with clear goals.

Till interval, Jorge Pereyra Diaz had scored twice, and Nouguera too had scored once.

When the half-time whistle blew, Mumbai City FC already had a clear daylight between them and their opponents.

A brace for Jorge Pereyra Diaz and then a beautiful finish from Alberto Noguera gave the Islanders an overwhelming 3-0 lead at the break.

Jamshedpur had been second best in almost the entire half and faced an uphill task in the upcoming 45 minutes.

The match started at the VYBK in Kolkata, with Mumbai City FC playing in their usual sky blue kit, while Jamshedpur FC wore their traditional red kit with blue sleeves.

This was the first match for Jamshedpur, but the Islanders had already played a match against Mohammedan and won with a 3-1 scoreline.

Jorge Pereyra Diaz was the star of the match.

It has been a gloomy evening for the Men of Steel, and it remains to be seen whether they are resilient enough to find a way back in this match in the second half.

Mumbai has been dominating the match so far and looks likely to score more.
