DDC Manish Kumar ramps up special voter list correction efforts, stresses on field visibility of deputed BLOs by 30th July.
JAMSHEDPUR – In a fresh push to streamline voter registration, East Singhbhum’s Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) Manish Kumar stressed the importance of identifying deceased or transferred voters.
All eligible voters were urged to take this opportunity, running from July 21 to August 21, to ensure their names are correctly added to the voter list.
This comes as part of a special voter list revision drive launched in the district.
In light of recent negligence, DDC Manish Kumar warned that any lapse in election duties would not be tolerated.
Surprise inspections are to be carried out by senior district officials during the door-to-door surveys.
In line with this, the DDC has set a deadline: by July 30, deputed BLOs should be visible in the field.
AEROs have voiced concerns over the review process being hindered due to the absence of teachers and the Sahiyas deputed as BLOs.
Consequently, DDC Manish Kumar expressed his disappointment over the slow progress, particularly in the metropolitan areas.
A stern warning was issued – there will be consequences for workplace negligence, and everyone must fulfill their responsibilities.
