Protest at Tata Motors Gate by truck drivers, demanding resolution of chassis booking and driver replacement issues.
JAMSHEDPUR – A wave of discontent swept across the premises of Tata Motors Gate on Tuesday as truck drivers assembled to voice their grievances.
The demonstration, orchestrated under the leadership of Gyansagar Prasad, involved the submission of a demand letter to the plant’s administrative head.
Prasad, spearheading the protest, made it clear that the management of Tata Motors had been turning a deaf ear to the directives of both the Jharkhand government and local authorities.
Contentions revolved around the arbitrary chassis booking and irregular driver substitutions, both activities allegedly conducted by two managers of the dispatch department for chassis at Tata Motors.
The drivers, via their demand letter, have urged the ad hoc committee to eliminate the illegitimate union operating under the guise of drivers and to terminate the unauthorized bookings carried out in the name of absent drivers..
