Employees of Closed Perfect Electric Concern Protest for Unpaid Dues at PF Office
Employees of Perfect Electric Concern in Sundernagar, Jamshedpur stage a protest demanding payment of their pending provident fund (PF) lying unpaid with the PF Dept.
JAMSHEDPUR – The employees of the now-closed Perfect Electric Concern, located in Sundernagar, Jamshedpur, staged a demonstration in front of the Provident Fund office.
They are demanding the payment of their pending PF, which is yet to be disbursed.
As many as 250 workers, all of whom have crossed the age of 60 years, used to work at this company.
According to the employees, the company closed its doors in 2006, and the owner had then promised to pay their wages and PF money by selling the company.
Staying true to his promise, the company owner did sell the company in 2018.
He deposited an amount of INR 87 lakh with the provident fund department for the PF of all the employees.
However, despite this, the employees are yet to receive their dues.
On average, INR 50,000 to 60,000 per employee is claimed to be deposited in the PF.
For the last five years, these employees claim to have been only given the runaround by the government offices.
The protesting employees have warned that if their PF is not immediately disbursed, they will escalate their protest actions against the Provident Fund Department.
