Canadian Man’s House Attached Over Dowry Harassment Case

The house of Karmaveer Singh, residing in Canada, has been attached by the police following allegations of dowry harassment.

JAMSHEDPUR – On Tuesday, under the supervision of Magistrate Wilson Bhuiyan, Parsudih police attached the house of Karmaveer Singh, a resident of Khasmahal Radha Colony.

The police broke the lock of Singh’s locked house and confiscated all his belongings.

A dowry harassment case was lodged against Singh by his wife, Simran Kaur, at the Parsudih police station on March 13, 2020.

Since the complaint was lodged, Singh has been living in Canada with his family.

He was asked to appear in court but has not complied.

A notice was posted at his residence on the orders of the court prior to the attachment of the property.

On receiving further court orders, the police proceeded to attach Singh’s house.

The case will continue as Singh is yet to respond to these developments.
